I am in the graduating class of 2020 at MdCV and I am also enrolled in dual credit courses. This is my second year holding an FFA office and my fourth in the organization. I looked forward to FFA when I was younger because my uncle, a past state vice president, and several other of my family members would talk about it quite a bit. I was born into a farming and cattle family and my daycare was the back window of a tractor or combine the majority of the summer. My favorite days were when I got to help feed, check, or work our cattle herds. Today, my immediate family is no longer involved in the farming aspect of things, but we have our own cattle herd and it is still a highlight of my week getting to go out and be around them.

Hello everyone! My name is Koby and I am a senior at MDCV. I have been in FFA for 4 years and this year is my second year as an officer. Being in FFA has given me many opportunities. I have experienced many new things being apart of this organization as well as meeting new people. I enjoy working on a farm and being around agriculture. I really do enjoy being apart of FFA as I will always cherish the moments and memories I have gained through being in FFA.

I have participated in multiple CDE's including dairy judging, meat judging, and vet science. I will be competing in State Vet Science in May. I plan on becoming a FACS teacher after high school. I am a member of the graduating class of 2022. I have taken Agriscience and plan to take Ag Mechanics. I currently have a placement SAE. The FFA has given me any opportunities to learn about agriculture and things that I will use in everyday life after high school and I look forward to whatever the FFA holds for me.

I am overly excited about this new website not only for our members, parents, and patrons, but for the many MdCV FFA Alumni and supporters across the nation. Although this will be officer and member driven the credit and thanks goes to Ms. Cassandra Ebert, our KSU Intern/student teacher this semester. Ms. Ebert has been outstanding in teaching our students and I am very confident she will be incredible in her own program.
As we prepare for our annual chapter banquet this April, I reflect back to the many FFA members that have come through this program and have been very successful in their careers. Although not all members pursue a degree or career in agriculture or the trades, I hope what they have experienced in this program has carried through to their chosen career and personal lives. I am proud of the students we have this year and am excited for those that have worked hard on creating their career goals and hope they successful in pursuing those goals. |
